Yacht management
Full operational responsibility for the vessel: crew, technical supervision, budgets and accounts, flag and class, insurance, berthing and suppliers — supported wherever the yacht is.
Read moreWestmar takes on operational responsibility for the yacht — crew, technical condition, maintenance, budget and compliance.
Kept ready for use, wherever in the world the yacht is.
Owners are represented at ownership level too: one point of contact across yards, suppliers, insurers, registries, counsel and banks.
One manager, one point of accountability, and a full paper trail.
Comprehensive care
The scope is agreed to the vessel and to how involved the owner wants to be. In practice it usually spans all of the following, and rarely stops there.
Recruitment, MLC-compliant employment and SEAs, STCW certification tracking, rotation planning, hours of rest and payroll
Supervision of condition, maintenance planning, works coordination and defect tracking
Budget preparation and control, account administration and payment execution
Flag state and class liaison, ISM and ISPS where applicable, Port State Control readiness, certification and survey windows
H&M, P&I and crew medical cover, and claims handled end to end
Berthing, agents, suppliers, connectivity and logistics — supported worldwide
Owner usage calendars for shared ownership, itinerary planning and the seasonal programme
Regular owner reporting and condition updates, in English, Spanish, French or German

At the difficult end
Most management is routine, and should be. These are not the normal case — they are included because they show what the service can absorb when a situation is not routine at all.
Management of a vessel has been taken over mid-season following the collapse of the previous manager. That meant reconstructing records from a fragmented handover, then re-establishing banking, crew employment, insurance, berthing and supplier relationships in sequence — and building an auditable paper trail where none existed. If a management arrangement is failing, the position is recoverable.
Owner groups inside a partnership structure have been represented and administered: co-owner coordination, budgets, capital calls, usage calendars, and the interface between day-to-day operations and the legal entity that owns the vessel. Shared ownership fails on administration far more often than on goodwill.
